Along with so many businesses, the Chamber has been feeling the impact of three years of COVID as we begin to understand many of the new realities of the business world and the challenges facing our communities and consumers. We are fortunate that we have been able to continue our journey of building our community through a business lens, as you can see this first newsletter of 2023.
We have learned some lessons along the way, so we are making some changes we think will benefit our members and improve the work we do. As examples, we have implement an new and more comprehensive Chamber member management and payroll systems to improve interaction with our members. To cope with an ever growing workload, we have hired Jen Bibeau as our Administrative and Marketing Coordinator. Jen brings to us extensive office management experience and organizational skills. Welcome aboard Jen!
Behind the scenes, we are so fortunate to have a very engaged and talented Board of Directors who have embraced our need to grow our membership and to present Chamber events that have impact and value. This is the 40th anniversary of our Chamber which has become a highly respected and valued member of the Atlantic Canadian families of Chamber of Commerce.
Stay tuned for an exciting year ahead, and see you at the AGM!
