The 2024 Chamber Annual General Meeting brought together nearly 100 Chamber members and guests to celebrate another year of progress and growth. Guest speaker Ava Czapalay, CEO and Deputy Minister of the Nova Scotia Department of Labour, Skills and Immigration praised the Chamber for its leadership in advocating for positive workplace culture change, work she suggested should be adopted by Chambers across the province.
She was also impressed with the overall collaborative approach being taken by local business support organizations, non-profits, municipalities` and businesses, something not always found in communities and credited the Chamber for setting the tone through its own collaborative approach.
